In the first quarter of 2025, WhatsApp Messenger saw notable fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong with 440K and peaking at 760K mid-January. Despite a dip to 352K by the end of March, weekly active users remained robust, consistently exceeding 144M, reaching a peak of 145M.

WhatsApp Business maintained a steady performance. Weekly downloads hovered around 265K to 320K, and the app experienced a gradual increase in active users, ending the quarter with over 46M. Revenue remained stable, averaging around $32K weekly.

Telegram displayed moderate growth in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 200K to 260K. Active users fluctuated slightly, with a consistent user base of around 34M. Revenue trends showed minor variations, generally staying between $23K and $29K.

Messenger showed a slight decline in downloads from 135K to 111K. Active users also saw a slight decrease, ending the quarter at 30M. Revenue showed minimal movement, peaking at $220.

Finally, Claro flex experienced significant growth in downloads, starting at 108K and reaching 175K by late March. However, active users saw some fluctuations, peaking at over 1.8M in early February before stabilizing around 1.6M.
